Our strict guidelines for any food items in our shop:
All food and/or cottage law items must be free from genetic modification and contain mostly organic (or as good as) ingredients. This means none of your ingredients can contain GMO's! All flour should be unbleached & unbromated. We personally use King Arthur for their quality and the fact that they are an employee owned company! Any dairy (milk, cheese & butter) used must be advertised as rBGH (bovine growth hormone) free on the companies label or be certified organic. Use of any form of item that contains synthetic growth hormones will be banned from our shop.
The following ingredients (including sub ingredients) are not allowed in any of the food items placed in the Giving Earth: msg, nitrates, artificial colors, artificial flavors, artificial sweeteners, high fructose corn syrup, rBGH, antibiotics, and 0g trans fat. All Food & Cottage Farm items must abide by the food labeling laws through the Department of Agriculture.

Our shop offers a unique experience to purchase locally produced items that are artful & sustainable!
You’ll find a variety of local merchants & vendors that produce unique, artful, natural, eco-friendly, handmade and sustainable items for everyday life!
One of our main goals is to keep it real, keep it local and keep it sustainable! BE THE CHANGE YOU WISH TO SEE...
For every $100 spent at a locally owned business, $45 goes back into our community-and our tax base. For every $100 spent at a chain store, only $14 comes back! Local businesses are owned by people who live here, work here and are more invested in our future.
Join us for Sampler Saturdays, an all day event! Several of our food vendors offer free samples of their incredibly delicious & natural products!
Almost every weekend the Giving Earth offers LIVE MUSIC for local musicians, singers & songwriters! Be sure to check out our events page for upcoming music, demonstrations & free classes!
Join our Gallery Viewing on Friday evenings from 5:00pm to 7pm. Meet and greet some of the local artists that display their beautiful & unique items. From hand-casted jewelry, original graphite drawings, framed photography and other artful & individual items! A few of our food vendors also offer free samples at this time too! We also feature live acoustic music (tip based) on many Friday & Saturday evenings!
At least once a month we will offer free classes & demonstrations on such things as; basket weaving, organic gardening, heirloom seeds, healthy eating 101, natural pet care, raising a natural baby, and many others
The Giving Earth is an artfully fun place to shop for a variety of locally produced merchandise.
In December of 2011 we opened our doors with only seven local vendors, including our offsite cottage farm kitchen (formally known as From Scratch ~ Old World Baked Goods). In May of 2012 we had the pleasure of welcoming our thirty-third local vendor!
We strive to bring you quality merchandise that is locally produced, handmade, natural, organic & eco-friendly. We firmly believe in the Main Street movement to support local, small and independently owned businesses. Small mom & pop shops are the backbone of this great country and they need your help to keep their doors open.
Browse the video above to get a general idea of what our little shop is like! There is plenty of public parking lots within a few feet!
